Game and guide information standards

A game page should help you choose what to play. A guide should help you understand a rule and make a useful decision.

Who publishes this content

Autorun Games publishes the harb.fun catalog, game-information pages and player guides. The studio profile describes our work, and player support is the contact point for problems with a game or its written instructions.

Playable scope is part of the description

Our catalog includes games with multiple modes and smaller playable prototypes. A game's page identifies the scope that a player can expect from that release: a first case, a short course, a set of commissions, or a broader game. A prototype label describes that limited scope.

For example, Paw Rescue describes the first cat-clinic case, while Paw Rescue Salon is a separate dog-care prototype. Similar names do not make their tools, goals or available cases interchangeable. Screen-format notes also matter when choosing a game for a phone or desktop.

Rules and suggestions have different purposes

Rules describe what the game requires. A suggested strategy describes a way to approach that requirement. The guides use the game's controls, instructions and task conditions as their basis, then explain decisions a player can try.

In Pinball Works, the A → B → C → bin order is a task condition. Choosing which part to revise after a failed shot is a strategy decision. In a planning game, a preview, a real execution and a delivered result can also have different meanings. A guide should preserve those distinctions.

Advice may help you reason about another attempt without being the only successful route. Where a game has several modes, choose the guide for the mode you are playing; a rule from one mode may not apply to another.

Screenshots and changing releases

Game pages use screenshots from the published catalog to show the game and its interface. An image can depict a particular version, stage or result. Read its caption and the game's current scope instead of treating a single screenshot as a list of every available feature.

Guides and game pages carry an update date to show when their written information was revised. Individual games can receive later changes. Their live instructions and available modes help identify whether a description needs correction; an article's date is not a guarantee that every screen remains unchanged.

Corrections and player feedback

If an instruction conflicts with the game, send the page URL, the relevant sentence and the mode or version you were playing to support@autorun.fun. A screenshot of the actual condition or result helps distinguish a changed rule from a misunderstood control.

For a proposed new guide, describe the decision that is hard to understand: for example, which condition failed or which two options you cannot compare. Specific player questions are more useful than a request for a longer article without a gameplay problem. Our help page covers common loading, sound and save issues.
