Pinball Works v0.7.1: the actual out-of-order failure names C before A and retains the layout with edit and slow-motion controls

Solve the route in the required order

The workbench order is A → B → C → recovery bin. Touching all three letters in another order is not a successful delivery. Before placing a part, trace the route you want the ball to take and identify which target should be contacted next.

Tap to place or select; dragging pans the camera instead of placing a piece. Rotate or undo with the selected-part tools. On a phone, pan and zoom to inspect the work area rather than placing several parts into a region you cannot see clearly.

Use a failed shot as a measurement

Run a shot, then read the actual failed condition and use slow replay. Locate the first point where the trajectory stopped matching the order. A later miss can be a consequence of an earlier wrong contact, so adding a part only near the recovery bin may not address it.

The layout is retained for revision. Change the part associated with that first problem, then run a fresh shot. Keep a note of what you changed so a different result is evidence about that edit, rather than about several simultaneous adjustments.

Do not mix Gentle and Budget rules

Gentle recovery adds an entry-speed limit of 40. Budget recovery instead limits the current shot’s part cost to 1, without that speed cap. Read the active commission before interpreting a successful-looking trajectory.

An over-budget shot can still run physically, but it does not complete Budget delivery. This lets you learn from the route without confusing a useful test with a valid commission result. Inspect the cost as well as the ordered targets before the next delivery attempt.

Finish both halves of Dual-band

Dual-band recovery requires two fresh shots on the same layout: Standard and High must each touch A, then B, then C and reach the bin. One band passing is only part of the task.

Editing the layout clears the recorded pair. Once you have revised a part, complete both bands again on that final arrangement. This prevents a Standard pass from an old layout being combined with a High pass from a different layout. Check the pair display before treating the job as delivered.
