ValleyRail guide: repair the bridge and dispatch the passenger train
Plan the engineering route, keep shared track usable, and distinguish a repaired bridge from a passenger service that has actually arrived.

Identify the dependency in the dispatch
ValleyRail gives you one railway dispatch with an engineering train, a passenger train and a broken bridge. The passenger destination is on the north side. The bridge must be repaired by the engineering movement before that connection becomes available.
Start by locating the engineering yard, the work site, shared junctions and the passenger destination. A line drawn toward the destination expresses a plan. It does not mean the bridge has been repaired or a train has travelled that line.
Plan the engineering movement first
Select the engineering train and add route points using the stations on the map. Check that the plan brings the required engineering movement to the work site. Think about where this train will stand afterwards, because a successful repair can still leave another train waiting for occupied track.
The useful first milestone is the actual bridge-open state. If the preview says the bridge is unrepaired, revisit the engineering path and its progress rather than adding more passenger route points beyond the closed connection.
Treat shared track as a scheduling constraint
Now inspect where the two routes share a junction or a segment. A route that works for either train in isolation may not work when both move together. Available passing space and the order of movements matter as much as the chosen destination.
When a train waits, read its displayed reason. An unrepaired bridge needs a completed engineering task. A conflict with another train needs a change in the movement order or where a train clears the shared route. These are different failures even if the visible symptom is a stationary train.
Preview, inspect the wait, then execute
Use the available preview before committing to execution. Watch the engineering train reach its work and the bridge state change, then follow the passenger movement. If the preview stops, identify the first blocked step rather than focusing only on the final destination.
For a controlled retry, change the route or order related to that first blockage. Recheck the other train after the edit: a new engineering route can affect the passenger path even if its own points were left untouched.
Know which result completes the dispatch
The bridge opening is an intermediate achievement. The passenger train must actually reach the north-side destination for the service to be completed. A planned line, a repair animation or a temporary wait beside the bridge is not the same result.
This guide covers the one dispatch available in the current prototype. When comparing attempts, note the first wait reason, which train occupied the shared space and whether the bridge was already open. Those observations make the next route revision specific.
