What you play

Open the case, use the tools, then test the device across six fan and lamp jobs.

A limited repair workbench with six fan and lamp jobs. The visible job is the authority for which parts and tools are available.

Controls

Select the displayed tools and parts, open the device when required, and use Test to check the result.

Your first session

  1. Inspect the device and its symptom before replacing parts. A battery problem and a broken connection call for different actions.
  2. Use the voltage and continuity tools where the job provides them, then make one repair supported by that reading.
  3. Reassemble or reconnect as required and run the device test. A changed part is not proof that the repair works.

Decisions worth watching

Test after a specific change so you can connect the new result with that repair.

Keep diagnosis separate from trial-and-error replacement. The available readings help narrow the fault.
